Position Overview
The Technical Sales Representative position is a full-time, inside business-to-business sales professional who is responsible for retaining and growing current accounts and for gaining new market share.
1. Articulate and position Vault Networks products, services, and solutions to key decision makers
2. Aggressively pursue new client accounts and be able to successfully differentiate Vault Networks from competitors and alternate solutions
3. Manage the entire sales cycle across customer accounts, engaging specialists as needed
4. Propose and close sales that achieve total revenue growth, profit, and customer satisfaction plans
5. Remain current and knowledgeable of existing and emerging datacenter/hosting services
6. Prepare daily/weekly action plans by individuals as well as by team to insure focused activity
7. Sustain sales activities; appointments, demos, proposals, cold calls, dials and database updates
8. Prepare sales quotes, negotiate offers, and manage post sale actions to ensure client satisfaction
9. Ability to understand all of Vault Networks services and product offerings and be able to distinguish them others in the marketplace. Develop relationships with outside referral partners to maximize sales goals. .Write Blogs and Knowledge base articles for Vault Networks web site.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. BS/BA degree in Management Information Systems or related field
2. Previous business-to-business sales experience or sales internship ; Must to be able to successfully demonstrate how to overcome objections and close sales.
3. Maintain and track leads using CRM Software – Manage the sales process and document which step each prospect is in as well as the likelihood/probability of closure.
4. 2-5 years B2B Technology Sales experience-- Managed Hosting, Colocation or Hosting experience preferred
5. Proficiency using MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) Required
6. Excellent Business Communication Skills (Verbal, Written, and Presentation)- Essential
7. Must be self-managed, possess a competitive nature, and strong desire to succeed
8. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment
9. Ability to influence, negotiate, and gain commitment at all levels of an organization
10. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability-- willingness to take risks and try new approaches.
11. Excellent probing and problem identification skills
