Description

This is a retained search for a Vice President of Business and Partnership Development for our 900MM publicly traded, global hosting, IaaS, Cloud services provider. This is a critical and strategic role and will impact the course of the company. The position reports directly with the company’s senior leadership.   The core requirements of the role are:    

  • Identifying opportunities for our client to partner domestically and internationally with other enterprises. To create new sources of revenue and value that will also maintain and enhance our client’s market leadership position.
  • A solid working knowledge of the business, technical and operating model of a hosting provider.
  • A current understanding of the ecosystem of potential content, application, systems, platform and other providers with whom our client can Partner to accelerate and differentiate its Cloud services. Currently, our client offers leading edge Cloud-based hosting services and is now focused on second and third generation capabilities that will offer an ever-widening range of solutions to the business community.
  • A history of full lifecycle responsibility for establishing successful large enterprise partnerships: opportunity identification/analysis (you are the author of the idea), business case, terms negotiation, engagement model, cost/revenue share models, execution, monetization, improved marketplace reputation. Must be equally strong strategically and tactically.
  • A current track record of successfully partnering, ideally to produce new Cloud-based capabilities.
  • Significant international experience forming successful partnerships.
  • Experience constructing and negotiating complex joint ventures.
  • Experience managing other related functions (and teams) like Channel, Agent etc.
  • Relationships in industry verticals like financial services, consumer brands, media and entertainment, healthcare, BPO etc are desirable
  • High integrity, driven, very strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • History of job stability and career advancement

  • 40% - 50% travel, including international
