Hostway Corporation is seeking a highly technical and energetic leader with solid management skills to lead our North American and global R&D and platform development.  The successful candidate will be managing multiple teams of software professionals in several locations who are extending and maintaining Hostway's technical system infrastructure, including back office systems, cloud computing platforms, service delivery, and reporting.  The successful candidate must have proven top technical proficiencies to help develop the vision and direction of our software infrastructure as well as providing overall management oversight and leadership to ensure the efficient and successful execution of multiple simultaneous development projects. An understanding of information technology driven business and the ability to map business objectives to the technology platform is highly desirable.  The candidate must be excellent in recruiting and managing talented software developers and programmers.  Requirements  l        Direct the product development process by prioritizing projects, assigning project managers and establishing delivery dates l        Manage multiple teams of software development engineers, each with a team lead and/or manager l        Communicate development priorities and timelines across the organization to insure coordinated product launch and achievement of business objectives l        Interact with business units’ marketing, product management and customer services to help define new product requirements l        Establish metrics and processes for effective development, testing and improvement of company’s online software applications l        Consult with senior management to help develop, synthesize, and articulate the corporate technology vision and strategies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:l       Master's degree in Computer Science and/or MBA desired l       5-7 years of professional programming experience in multiple programming languages such as: C/C++, Java, .Net, Python l       5-7 years of experience managing software programming staff l       Ability to plan organizational-wide activities l       Skills in effective recruiting and staffing l       Extensive experience and knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and structured development concepts and practices. l       Excellent written and verbal communications expected as well as commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. l       Familiarity with web-based applications and the benefits/limitations of HTML interfaces, including CGI and persistent server application frameworks. l       Strong analytic mindset, the ability to decompose complex problems into simpler components, and the ability to organize and track complicated project plans. l       Working knowledge of both Unix and Windows in a software development setting. Prefer strength in Unix (all flavors) environment. l       Demonstrated experience
